Survey Trip Pictures
Below are some hurried pictures taken along the way during the survey trip. The first two are examples of the country that the ride would have travelled through had we continued with our first plan to head towards Wilcannia. We would have been travelling through this unchanging country for about a week and we believed that there is limit to how much fun there is in playing spot the the tree and counting Salt Bush. The revised route, although it has it's fair share of Salt Bush country, mostly has a changing landscape that will keep riders interested. One has to feel for the Explorers of Australia's inland when they were crossing the plains country wondering when or if they would find water any where ahead.
I hope my photos don't put any of you off the ride. I have left out most of the really good bits, the camp sites, the people and the animals so you will have lots of new experiences along the way. My pictures do not do them justice anyway.
Enjoy the pictures
